The challenge: speeding up a heavy, legacy WooCommerce store
Baltazar had a clear challenge: despite strong sales and years of growth, their WooCommerce site was becoming increasingly slow. With over 55,000 completed orders, using WooCommerce subscriptions and more than 200,000 rows in the wp_postmeta database, performance was lagging, especially on mobile.
To make things more complex, the site runs on Flatsome, a popular but outdated WordPress theme.
