Adyen Hosted Checkout addon

Add a fully Adyen-hosted payment flow to your WooCommerce store. Instead of rendering payment fields on your own checkout, customers are redirected to a secure Adyen-hosted page to complete their payment, then sent straight back to your store.

A simpler, lower-maintenance payment flow

  • Redirect to Adyen’s secure hosted page where the customer selects a method and completes the payment, then returns to WooCommerce automatically.
  • All available payment methods in one place. Adyen presents every method enabled on your account, based on the customer’s country and currency.
  • Reduced PCI scope since sensitive card data is entered on Adyen’s environment rather than your own checkout.
  • Less front-end overhead because payment fields no longer load inside your WooCommerce checkout.

Configure the hosted flow to your needs

  • Choose between embedded and hosted checkout. Enable Hosted Checkout per store while keeping the standard embedded fields available where you prefer them.
  • Match your branding using the theme and styling options configured in your Adyen Customer Portal.
  • Set the return behaviour so customers land on the correct order confirmation or pay-order page after payment.
  • Works alongside your existing Adyen configuration, including multi-store country routing for multilingual websites.

Requires the Adyen plugin

  • This is an addon for the Woosa Adyen WooCommerce plugin and requires the main Adyen plugin to be installed and active.
  • Uses your existing Merchant Account Name, API key and webhook no separate Adyen connection is needed.
  • Both test and production environments of Adyen are supported.

What is Adyen Hosted Checkout?

It’s an addon that adds an Adyen-hosted payment flow to your WooCommerce store. Instead of entering payment details on your own checkout, customers are redirected to a secure Adyen-hosted page to pay, then sent back to your store automatically.

How is this different from the standard Adyen plugin?

The standard Adyen plugin uses embedded checkout fields, so customers pay without leaving your checkout page. With Hosted Checkout, the payment step happens on Adyen’s own hosted page. Both approaches process payments through the same Adyen account.

Do I still need the main Adyen plugin?

Yes, this is an addon for the Woosa Adyen WooCommerce plugin, so the main plugin must be installed and active. The addon uses your existing Merchant Account Name, API key, and webhook — no separate Adyen connection is required.

Why would I choose Hosted Checkout over embedded fields?

A hosted flow keeps card entry on Adyen’s environment, which can reduce your PCI scope and lower the amount of payment code running inside your own checkout. Some merchants also prefer Adyen presenting all enabled payment methods in one consistent place. (Confirm the PCI claim against your actual implementation before publishing.)

Which payment methods are available?

Adyen displays every payment method enabled on your account, based on the customer’s country and currency.

Can I use both embedded and hosted checkout?

Yes, you can choose which flow to use per store, keeping the standard embedded fields available where you prefer them.

Can I match the hosted page to my branding?

Yes, styling and theming are configured in your Adyen Customer Portal and apply to the hosted page.

What happens after the customer pays?

The customer is redirected back to WooCommerce automatically and lands on the correct order confirmation or pay-order page, depending on your return settings.
