Bol.com is the biggest marketplace in the Netherlands and Belgium. Selling your products also via Bol.com, means reaching over 10 million (unique) visitors each month. One of the biggest benefits of Bol.com is their pricing model. They charge you based on a CPS, in other words you only pay a commission once you sell a product via their platform.
The challenge of having a WooCommerce webshop and a Bol.com selling account is synchronizing important product and order information. Updating manually is not an option if you ask us! Therefore we have developed and maintained our Bol.com WooCommerce plugin. To make it as easy as possible for you, to run an online business with at least 2 sales channels. In this way you will safe money and time, so that you can focus on the important things: increase sales!

FAQ’s
Can I import products from Bol.com to WooCommerce?
No, unfortunately this is not possible due to limited product information from Bol.com. The export functionality within Bol.com only entails the following product information: Reference, EAN, Condition, Stock, Delivery code, Offer description, For sale and Title.
Does the plugin synchronizes in both ways?
For us, WooCommerce is leading. Which means all the product information, such as: stock amount, price, delivery time etc. should be available within WooCommerce. Our Bol.com WooCommerce plugin adds the needed settings and additional fields for that.
However there is one parameter who should be synchronized in both ways: stock amount. The stock amount will be realtime updated in the following cases:
- When there is a Bol.com order
- When there is a WooCommerce order
- When the stock amount changes in WooCommerce
I am working with a different tool at the moment. Can I easily transfer to Woosa?
Yes, it shouldn’t be a hassle at all to transfer to Woosa. However you should take a couple of things into consideration:
- Do you have the EAN code available within WooCommerce?
- Is WooCommerce leading concerning the stock amount?
- Are all products already existing in WooCommerce?
Can you answer yes to all questions above? Then you’re ready to transfer to Woosa!
I have two different Bol.com accounts, can I connect them to one webshop?
Yes, most of our clients have a seperate Bol.com Selling Account for the Netherlands and Belgium. Mainly because of different shipping cost, delivery time or other reasons. Because of this we have developed the Bol.com Multi-Account addon.
Do you want to use our Bol.com WooCommerce plugin in combination with the Bol.com Multi-Account addon? In that case we advise you to go with our Growth pricing plan.
Does the plugin work together with an existing Bol.com account?
Yes, it doesn’t matter how much history you already have with selling via Bol.com. Our Bol.com WooCommerce plugin can work either with new and existing Bol.com Seller Accounts. However, there are a couple of things to take into consideration:
- Do you have the EAN code available within WooCommerce?
- Is WooCommerce leading concerning the stock amount?
- Are all products already existing in WooCommerce?
If this is the case, we can easily connect with your existing Bol.com account. Products are recognized via the EAN code in WooCommerce and Bol.com.
I sell my own brand products. How does this work?
That’s a good question! If you are planning to sell your own brand products via Bol.com, you will probably be the first one to sell those products. Therefore you should take a couple of things in consideration:
- Have you already purchased new EAN codes? You can easily purchase new EAN codes via eancode.nl.
- Is your product information stored within WooCommerce?
If you can answer both questions with yes, we strongly advise you to not only download our Bol.com WooCommerce plugin but also the Content Connection addon. In this way you are able to publish new brand products to Bol.com, including the required content for a publishing a new product to Bol.com.
Do you want to use our Bol.com WooCommerce plugin in combination with the Bol.com Multi-Account addon? In that case we advise you to go with our Medium pricing plan.
What do you mean with new or brand product?
Normally Bol.com decides which product information is shown based on the applied EAN code. However, if you sell a product which isn’t sold yet on Bol.com, they don’t have any product information yet. It’s your job to submit the product with it is information, in order for Bol.com to publish it for sale.
Are orders handled automatically from WooCommerce to Bol.com?
With our Bol.com WooCommerce plugin you can choose to import Bol.com orders into WooCommerce. This is beneficial for a couple of reasons:
- You can export your own shipping labels easily within WooCommerce.
- If you have accountancy software connected to your webshop, Bol.com orders will be also synced.
- You have an overview of the total orders for both WooCommerce and Bol.com.
When you receive a Bol.com order within your WooCommerce webshop, there are a couple of things you need to do.
- Ship the products within that order.
- Complete the order at Bol.com by submitting a track & trace code per item.
Unfortunately we don’t automate the process to submit the track & trace if you use your own shipping labels. We’re currently busy with developing an addon, which will support the following shipping carriers: MyParcel, Parcel Pro and Sendcloud. We expect to release this addon in the beginning of May 2021.
Coming Soon: VVB (Shipping via Bol.com)
However, our plugin will support the new way of handling shipments via VVB (Shipping via Bol.com). In this way you can purchase a shipping label via Bol.com for a competitive price. Also with that shipping label you can life upon the promise: purchase before 23:59, tomorrow delivered. This is a very nice extension of the Bol.com service and of course in this case, everything regarding handling orders is automated from WooCommerce.
The only thing you have to do: make sure the shipping label of VVB is printed and added to the package. The rest of it – including getting your package to the client – will be taken care of by Bol.com. PostNL or Red je Pakketje is going to pickup your packages daily.
Curious about VVB? You can read more about this here.
